A commitment to myself
I decided to give this blog thing a shot, for me.
A passion for community
I’m passionate about connecting with likeminded people, but often fear the vulnerability it takes to build community.
When referencing people with a schizoid personality type, Wikipedia said some people “may experience a deep desire to connect with others, yet will be terrified by the dangers inherent in doing so.”
Not to mention the PDA’er in me
So here goes nothin’!
I’m a Woman
And being a woman can feel strange, exciting, or even scary — especially right now. If you’re in the LGBTQ+ community, my heart goes out to you as well. 🖤
Physical Pain
From endometriosis and fibromyalgia to “I think I have a painful connective tissue disorder.” I feel ya. Sometimes I wish I didn’t feel anything at all, but I got you.
ADHD
Late diagnosed and then realized that maybe I was a little spicier than originally thought. Hence the autism diagnosis.
Autism
Recently diagnosed and still working on what autism looks like for me, how disabling it can be, and working through the trauma caused by not knowing.
Personality Types
Schizoid, Avoidant, Melancholic, and Schizotypal are the primary ones I’ll likely explore here, as these were identified during my ASD diagnosis and are often seen in those with ADS.
Other Topics
Depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, alexithymia, high masking, etc.
